David Meloy is a 1975 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, with high distinction. He was a law clerk for Justice Harvey Uhlenhopp of the Iowa Supreme Court from 1975 through 1976. David has practiced as an attorney with Stanley, Lande & Hunter since 1976. He is a past president of the Muscatine County Bar Association and is currently a Vice-President of Stanley, Lande & Hunter. He has been active in the Muscatine Sister Cities Association and is currently a director of the Community Nursing Foundation, the Muscatine Art Center, and the Lutheran Homes Society, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry. David and his wife, Ruthanne, live in Muscatine. They have four children -- Lea, Elizabeth, Robert and Marissa. He enjoys traveling, viewing historical sites, and reading history of all kinds.
