Steven T. Hunter is a 1974 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law with distinction. He has practiced law in Davenport, Iowa with Stanley Lande & Hunter and its predecessor firm since 1974. He grew up on a family farm near DeWitt, Iowa and attended college at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa where he received his BA degree in Economics in 1972.
Throughout his career, Steve has practiced extensively in the areas of real estate, banking law and finance, corporate, and commerical law. He is a member of the Business Law Section and also the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Iowa Bar Association.
Steve has served as a member of the Davenport Zoning Board of Adjustment and as a member of the Davenport School Board. He presently serves as City Attorney for Riverdale, Iowa.
Steve and his wife, Mary Ellen, live in Davenport. They have three grown children who reside in New York, Chicago, and Bozeman, Montana. Steve and Mary Ellen enjoy traveling to visit their children in their destination cities.
