Chuck Coulter has successfully served clients of the firm since 1965 in the Areas of Practice listed below, with particular emphasis on real estate development. He has actively participated in Iowa State Bar Association and American Bar Association professional organizations. He served on the ABA Standing Committee on Technology and Information Systems and chaired the ABA Coordinating Commission on Legal Technology. Chuck also held many positions in the ABA Section on Law Practice Management and was elected to chair the Section in 1991-92. He has written and lectured on law practice management topics. He is a Life Fellow in the Iowa State Bar Foundation, a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation, a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a Charter Fellow and former Trustee in the College of Law Practice Management, of which he served three terms as President. Chuck has always been active in the community. He founded the Muscatine Tennis Association and the Leadership Muscatine program, has served for over 30 years on the Muscatine Community Health Association, has been a Director of Muscatine Health Support Foundation since 1986, and has worked in many political campaigns. He served 11 years on the Board of Directors of Old Brick Episcopal Lutheran Corporation in Iowa City; he currently serves as President of Village Project of Coralville; as Secretary of the Coralville Community Fund; as President of the River Heights Racquet Club; and as a Director of the Community Foundation of Johnson County. The Iowa State Bar Association awarded Chuck the 2001 Community Service Award in recognition of his long history of community service. Since 1995, he has lived in Iowa City with his wife, Elizabeth, who is an Episcopal priest. She started New Song Episcopal Church in Coralville, the first new Episcopal Church in Iowa in over 20 years. One daughter is a free-lance writer in Chicago, and the other daughter is a trial lawyer in Michigan. Chuck enjoys tennis and community organization activities.
