Roger Lande began his career in general corporate practice and litigation. In his years of practice, he has counseled numerous businesses, their owners and managers, including public corporations. He has worked actively and provided counsel concerning corporate, securities, employment, and environmental matters and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
Roger was appointed Honorary Consul for Canada in the State of Iowa. In this position, he works with the Consul General of Canada to build and strengthen business, political, academic, and cultural relationships between Canada and Iowa.
He graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is a past President of the Iowa State Bar Association and a past Chair of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. Roger has served as a member of the Iowa Board of Regents, which governs Iowa's three state universities and two special schools.
He is a Fellow of the Iowa State and American Bar Foundations, a former Director of the American Judicature Society, and of the Iowa Law School Foundation, and a former member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Corporation Law. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Iowa Foundation.
He is a past Board Member and Chair of the Muscatine Airport Commission and of the Board of Directors of Muscatine Development Corporation and many other organizations. A private pilot with twin engine and instrument qualifications, Roger enjoys flying, reading, fishing, hunting, and raising Labrador retrievers. He and his wife, Sarah, have an adult son and daughter and four grandchildren.
